LD#1 Lock and Dam tour. Tour includes lock operations and an overview of the river navigation business line.

From Saint Paul, West bound on I-94, cross over Mississippi River Bridge and take the second right, Cedar Ave exit. Then go right on Cedar until it turns into Washington Ave. Follow Washington Ave several blocks to Portland Ave. Go right on Portland Ave approx 2 blks (under Stone Arch Bridge) into the Upper Saint Anthony Falls (USAF) Lock and Dam parking lot. Turn right and follow the access road out of the lot through the City Mills Ruins park, through the traffic circle, and continue down the access road to Lower Saint Anthony Falls (LSAF) approx. 3/8 mile. Park on the river side of the road short of the security gate. Someone will meet you at the security gate to direct you into the LSAF site.

From other directions get to Washington Ave and Portland Ave intersection in Minneapolis. Turn on Portland Ave toward the river. Then follow directions above.
