"Selling Yourself to a Smarter World" Career Seminar

The Colorado School of Mines Alumni Association invites you to a free career seminar
presented by Clear Path Group

Chamber of Commerce
Conference Room

Denver, CO
Wednesday, November 16
6:00 p.m.
Colorado State University
Denver Center

"To the victor goes the spoils," said Andrew Jackson.  He not only had it right, but he had a vision.   Today's victories include the confidence and knowledge to sell yourself in the world market.  The spoils are the successes that come with doing what you want to do.   Whether following your path in the corporate world or blazing a trail with your own business, the skills to market and sell yourself are the key!

According to Harris International, 39% of American workers are actively pursing other career opportunities.  If you recognize yourself in this statistic and wonder what your value would be in another industry or position, this seminar is for you!

Attendees will learn how and why the world economy affects their own employment efforts and the importance of building a vivid framework around their education, skills and past experiences. In addition, an understanding of what is needed to build their own personal and professional marketing framework including:

  • The ability to view themselves as a product
  • The components of their personal marketing plan
  • The difference between productive research and fooling you
  • A selling strategy
  • Negotiating: Art of the Deal

*Space is limited!  Reservations must be made in advance by contacting the Janet Blair at (303) 273-3295.

Clear Path was founded by Sam Solt, who for over 25 years successfully managed his own professional employment into a series of "merit badge" experiences, each one adding value and benefits to his career and employers.  Mr. Solt's extensive employment record includes international leadership with technology giants as well as development roles with smaller organizations.

The "Selling yourself to a Smarter World" seminar will be led by Andrew Lahana who is Clear Path's Director of Programs.  Mr. Lahana's successful leadership experience in three diverse industries offers "real world" application.
